A romantic comedy developed through the Telefilm Canada/Canadian Film Centre comedy lab is about to start shooting.
Jason James’ That Burning Feeling, which was mentored by the Just For Laughs comedy festival and Hollywood screenwriter Kirsten Kiwi Smith (10 Things I Hate About You), is to start shooting in Vancouver from Nov. 25.
Paulo Costanzo (Royal Pains, Road Trip) is to play a real-estate hotshot and confirmed bachelor who feels the burn of failed love when a social disease takes him face-to-face with a handful of one-night stands.
Tyler Labine (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and John Cho (Harold & Kumar, Star Trek) also star in the indie picture.
The script for That Burning Feeling was written by Nicolas Citton.
James of Resonance Films and Marc Stephenson of Sheep Noir Films is producing.
The indie film received support from Telefilm Canada, The Movie Network, Movie Central and British Columbia Film + Media.
