Rosie O’Donnell to guest star in Bomb Girls

Rosie O’Donnell has signed on as a guest star for season two of Bomb Girls, currently in production through mid-December in Toronto.

The former daytime talk show and radio host will play a character named Dottie in one episode of the Global TV drama, which follows the lives of Canadian women working in a munitions factory during the Second World War.

Bomb Girls is produced by Montreal-based Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Films. Muse’s Michael Prupas executive produces alongside Back Alley’s Janis Lundman and Adrienne Mitchell, with Mitchell co-showrunning with head writer and exec producer Michael MacLennan.

The series stars Meg Tilly, Jodi Balfour and Ali Liebert, along with Charlotte Hegele, Antonio Cupo, Anastasia Philips, Sebastian Pigott and Peter Outerbridge.

Announced in August, Michael Seater will join the cast for the second season.

Bomb Girls will return for its second season in January 2013.
