Berkshire Axis Media buys three Brit films for Canadian release

John Carbone’s Berkshire Axis Media has acquired the Canadian rights to three TIFF titles from British sales agent Bankside Films.

The package deal sees the Toronto-based producer/distributor take all media rights to Michael Winterbottom’s Everyday (pictured), about a family waiting for the husband/father to be released from prison, Ben Drew’s directorial debut Ill Manors and Rowan Athale’s Wasteland, a deconstructed heist film.

The deal was negotiated by Iain Taylor and Glen Wood for Berkshire Axis Media and Steven Kelliher for Bankside.

Carbone launched Berkshire Axis Media in 2010.
