TIFF sets dates for 2013

The Toronto International Film Festival on Monday said that next year’s festival will take place Sept. 5 to 15, 2013.

In maintaining its usual calendar slot, TIFF 2013 will run during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

“With our position fixed in a crowded calendar of festivals regulated by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, it’s not possible to shift the dates. As a result, we will do our best to schedule repeat screenings to accommodate festivalgoers who will be observing the Jewish High Holy Days,” said TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey in a statement.

This year’s festival saw 4,280 industry delegates in attendance, and the screenings of 147 film world premieres.
