Canadian co-pro Transporter sold to Hungary, Turkey

Following its German TV debut on RTL, Transporter: The Series, the Canadian-French co-produced TV drama, has been sold to broadcasters in Hungary and Turkey.

The project, based on the Luc Besson movie franchise and shot in Toronto and France, has been sold by Europe Images International to Hungary’s RTL Klub and Turkish channel ATV.

The French distributor last August taking the worldwide distribution rights to the action adventure TV drama followed sales to Germany’s RTL, France’s M6,  HBO/Cinemax in the U.S., Mediaset in Itlay, Norway’s TV2, Spain’s Antena 3 and VMMA in Dutch-speaking Belgium.

Transporter: The Series, based on the Luc Besson film franchise, stars Chris Vance as Frank Martin, an ex-soldier an expert-driver for hire.

The action drama is produced by Atlantique Productions and Canada’s QVF Inc.

TMN and Movie Central are set to air Transporter in early 2013.
