Adlight, a Vancouver-based supplier of special effects equipment, specialty lighting and screen-industry technical services is opening a new office in Halifax.

“Halifax is clearly growing,” Adlight president and lighting director Vance Vegas said in a statement. “When we scouted the surrounding area and infrastructure it was a no brainer. I love the atmosphere, the support of the arts and the quality of life,” he continued.

Recently announced Halifax productions include CBC comedy pilot The Khouris and Citytv comedy pilot Seed.

Adlight’s recent projects include Fringe, Mr. Young, Continuum, Primeval and Elysium (in post production).
