Peace Point inks MENA deal, unveils MIPCOM slate

Toronto’s Peace Point has struck a distribution deal with theatrical and television distributor Tanweer Group and announced the slate of factual and lifestyle programming it will bring to MIPCOM next month.

Through the deal with Tanweer, international distribution arm Peace Point Rights has expanded the reach of its catalog to viewers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

“We are delighted to be working with Tanweer, who are respected specialists in MENA and look forward to expanding the reach of our catalog into this important territory,” president and CEO Les Tomlin said in a statement.

Production arm Peace Point Entertainment, meanwhile, will present five new factual/lifestyle titles at this year’s MIPCOM in addition to returning series.

The titles are Say Yes To The Dress spin-off Keasha’s Perfect Dress (14 x 30 minutes) (pictured), the pilot for home makeover show Colin & Justin’s Street Swap (1 x 30 minutes), reality series The Bulloch Family Ranch (7 x 60 minutes), the pilot for the salesperson competition series Best Sellers (1 x 30 minutes), fitness series Body Fuel (13 x 30 minutes) and returning cooking show Bake with Anna Olson (40 x 30 minutes).
