TV vet Don Gaudet has joined Toronto-based broadcaster and production company Stornoway Communications as VP programming.
“Don brings to Storonoway a tremendous breadth of television industry experience – both as a hands-on programmer, and as a leader in setting strategic vision and direction for television stations,” said Stornoway GM and CFO Don Pagnutti in a statement.
Gaudet will oversee all aspects of scheduling and in-house and independent production for Stornoway’s three digital specialty services, ichannel, The Pet Network and bpm:tv.
Gaudet since 2011 has headed up Toronto-based media consultancy Stratmedia Enterprises. He began his broadcast career in 1987 with STV Regina, and also worked as VP programming for WIC Alberta Television, for Canwest Global and as programming general manager for Sun TV/Men TV.
Elsewhere, Cindy Boyd has been promoted to the company’s VP operations.
She will oversee all broadcast, studio and engineering operations, and will be responsible for supervising, training and development of staff.
Boyd joined Stornoway in 2006, and previously worked as supervisor and project manager at YTV, CHUM and Global Television.
