Global Screen has picked up the worldwide distribution rights, excluding Canada, to the Simon Ennis documentary Lunarcy!, ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Munich-based Global Screen, the sales & distribution joint venture between Telepool and Bavaria Media, will handle sales of the feature-length doc, which is produced by Citizen Jones.

Ennis’ documentary follows a disparate group of dreamers and schemers who have devoted their lives to the Moon.

“We are very excited to take over worldwide distribution rights for Lunarcy!”said Sonia Mehandjiyska, head of theatrical sales with Global Screen, in a statement.

Lunarcy! was produced by Jonas Bell Pasht.

Global Screen last month secured a sale of the Canadian-Danish horror comedy Eddie – The Sleepwalking Cannibal, from writer/director Boris Rodriguez, to the U.S. indie distributor Music Box Films.
