Fusion Television announced Monday that production exec and head of development, David Way, will assume the new mantle of creative director of content at the company.

Way, who has 20 years experience in factual programming as both a broadcaster and independent producer, has been with Fusion since 2009, overseeing Vancouver-based Fusion West, where he developed and produced long-form series.

Prior to that, he was a production exec, then director of original production at Life Network and Discovery Health Channel, director of programming at OLN and VP of production and development at Anaid Productions.

Since joining Fusion Television, Way has produced pilots for W Network’s Homewreckers and HGTV Canada’s Consumed for Paperny Films.

He was senior producer and creative director of Homewreckers until June, 2011.
