Toronto-based filmmaker James Cooper is adding “e-book author” to his resume, with his Kickstarter for Filmmakers launching on iBook, Kindle and Nook this week.
Cooper launched a successful Kickstarter campaign last October for his short film Elijah the Prophet, raising he says just over $21,000 by the end of November.
“After the campaign was a success, I found myself answering a lot of questions from friends and friends of friends about how we did it. After a while, I realized that there’s no real catch-all source of information to break down the basics for people, so I set out to make one myself,” said Cooper in a statement.
The film, whose script was written by Zachary and Jesse Hermann, won the 2010/11 Canadian Short Screenplay Competition and is produced by David Cormican, wrapped production in April.
Elijah the Prophet stars Art Hindle, Melanie Nicholls-King, Tonya Lee Williams and Carlos Diaz.
Kickstarter for Filmmakers is available on Kindle, Nook and iBooks, with editions for Kobo planned for the future, or direct from kickstarterforfilmmakers.com.
