Lesa Kirk, founder of Kirk Talent, said Thursday that her agency’s Vancouver-based offices had been destroyed by a fire.
According to the Fire Marshall, who met with Kirk when she made a quick trip to Vancouver from L.A.-based subsidiary Open Entertainment, the fire erupted early in the evening of July 19 and was likely caused by accident while the newly-renovated office’s roof was being replaced.
“Due to the severity of the fire, smoke and water damage, th[e] building will not be inhabitable for at least a year,” said Kirk in a statement.
“We must move and hope to find a new office by end of this week,” she continued, adding that the agency’s client records remain intact.
Kirk Talent, which was founded in 1989, represents actors, including Lost Girl’s Ksenia Solo, Hell on Wheels’ Christopher Heyerdahl and Heartland’s Jessica Steen.
