Jeremiah Chechik is to direct Sex and Sunsets, the Ryan Kwanten (pictured, True Blood) starring drama from indie Serendipity Point Films.
The feature, to be distributed by Entertainment One, will feature Kwanten as Leo Palamino, a failed writer-cum-dishwasher made famous for his many flaws and shortcomings in a blog written by his ex wife.
Los Angeles-based Chechik, who is repped by ICM Partners and Echo Lake Management, will start shooting Sex and Sunsets in late August in Banff and Los Angeles.
The project is based on the Tim Sandlin novel of the same name, and was adapted for the big screen by Los Angeles-based Canadian screenwriter Megan Martin, who also serves as writer and executive producer on the USA Network one hour drama The Exceptions from Reveille.
Martin is repped by Characters Talent Agency.
Producer credits on Sex and Sunsets will be shared by Ari Lantos and Robert Lantos, with Mark Musselman as the executive producer.
Kwanten is repped by CAA in Los Angeles.
