Fewer original series at the CBC has left the pubcaster with one less drama exec.
Robin Neinstein, executive in charge of drama production at CBC Television, has left the CBC for Shaw Media, where he becomes production executive for original drama content.
The CBC said a replacement for Neinstein will not be sought as it absorbs the production manager post as part of its recent $115 million budget chop over three years mandated by Ottawa.
Neinstein was a production manager for the CBC on The Guns mini-series, and the Being Erica and The Tudors dramas.
His other credits include the National Film Board of Canada projects Souvenir of Canada (2005) and Congratulations, Mr. Levy (2008), about comic Eugene Levy.
