Finalé Post Production has inked a deal with Technicolor Creative Services to offer digital intermediate finishing services in Vancouver.

Finalé Post is acquiring and folding Technicolor Vancouver’s existing DI theatre division into its expanding facility, as Technicolor pivots to offering cloud-based digital dailies services.

The deal heralds the relaunch next month of Finalé ‘s Editworks division with a new DI theatre.

“With over two decades of experience working within the Vancouver film and television community, we have established a strong reputation for our integrated approach to editorial, finishing and delivery,” Don Thompson, president and founder of Finalé Post Production, said Tuesday in a statement.

The entry by Finalé Post Production into DI finishing services comes as post houses everywhere attempt to reinvent the workflow of film and TV shoots in the emerging digital age.

To bolster its Vancouver facility, Finalé Editworks has hired senior colourists Claudio Sepulveda and Thor Roos, DI manager/editor James Cowan and post producer Jonas Young.
