VVS Films takes Arnold Schwarzenegger-starrer Ten for Canada

Indie distributor VVS Films has taken the Canadian rights to the Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring cop thriller Ten from sales agent QED, as the Cannes Film Festival gets underway.

Ten is directed by David Ayer, whose upcoming cop drama End of Watch, which stars  Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peñais, is also handled in Canada by VVS Films.

The deal for Ten was negotiated between Ernie and Harry Grivakis of VVS Films and Bill Block and John Friedberg of QED.

Other films on VVS Films’ growing release slate include Nicholas Jarecki’s Arbitrage, starring Richard Gere, Tim Roth and Susan Sarandon, and William Friedkin’s Killer Joe, starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch and Juno Temple.

VVS Films has a release slate of around 40 films a year.
