The Toronto International Film Festival will once again host the Producers Lab Toronto co-production conference in September.

The speed-dating gathering will see 12 European producers encouraged to  make films with a dozen Canadian producers at the September 5 to 8 conference.

The first two editions of Producers Lab Toronto saw 27 projects pushed into development, organizers reported Tuesday.

To also foster joint projects with co-production coin, lab participants are invited to alumni gatherings at the Berlin and Cannes film festivals.

The collaboration conference has backing from the European Film Promotion, the Ontario Media Development Corporation and TIFF.
