German filmmaker Uwe Boll is re-teaming with Vancouver-based indie producer Brightlight Pictures on The Bailout, his take on the 2008 Wall Street meltdown.
The action thriller about an ordinary New Yorker shooting investment bankers to exact revenge after losing everything in the market crash is scheduled to be shot in Vancouver from April 9 to 28.
Brightlight’s Shawn Williamson, who produced earlier Boll gorefests like In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, the BloodRayne trilogy and House of the Dead, will share a producer credit on The Bailout with production manager Daniel Clarke.
Geoff Wallace is the production designer and Mathias Neumann is the DOP.
