Entertainment One has inked a multi-year film distribution agreement with Wild Bunch in France.
The French distributor will handle the Canadian producer’s home video and digital rights in France, via its Wild Side division.
Entertainment One Television International will still distribute its own TV content in France, while Wild Side handles TV sales of feature titles from the Canadian company.
The Wild Bunch home video deal will start with the release of the first season of Call Me Fitz (pictured) and the second season of The Walking Dead into the French market.
“Patrice [Theroux] and his team have been friends and partners for years. This agreement is a natural outcome of both a close relationship and a shared vision of the evolution of distribution activities in this digital age,” Vincent Grimond, chairman and CEO of Wild Bunch, said in a statement.
Entertainment One also operates in the Canadian, UK, Benelux, Australian, New Zealand, U.S., German, Scandinavian and South African markets.
