UK producer joins Frantic Films as factual development VP

Winnipeg-based prodco Frantic Films has hired on Bernard Periatambee as its VP of factual development.

Periatambee, most recently with London-based Crackit Productions, also worked with Twofour Broadcast as a development executive, and with Leopard Films as head of programs. He’d began his career in the U.K. as a documentary director and producer with credits including I’m Your Number One Fan for Channel 4, and projects for BBC Everyman and ITV.

Other program production and development credits include Cash in the Attic, Natural Born Dealers, Built from Disaster and The Farm of Fussy Eaters.

“He has an impressive track record of creating and selling programs in both the U.K. and U.S.,” said Frantic Films CEO Jamie Brown in a statement. “We’re looking forward to having him help us generate new and fresh programming for our broadcast partners.”
