SCTV funnygirl Andrea Martin and CBC talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos will co-host the 32nd Genie Awards on March 8, to air live on the CBC.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television this year chose local talent to host the Genies after in recent years tapping Hollywood ex-pats like William Shatner and Sandra Oh to liven up the industry awards crowd.

Andrea Martin hosted the 2005 Genies.

The Academy earlier rolled out a marketing campaign for the upcoming Genies, which includes a 30-second spot running in Cineplex and Landmark theatres across Canada.
