The 2011-12 development slate for the U.S.-based Comedy Central channel includes a vehicle for Canadian funnyman Nathan Fielder.
The reality-scripted hybrid Nathan for You portrays Fielder using his finance degree and life experience to help ailing businesses.
The catch is Fielder’s advice tends to do more harm than good.
Fielder is executive producing the possible U.S. comedy with Michael Koman and David Kneebone.
The Canadian cut his teeth in comedy in Toronto making comedic short films and doing stand-up routines.
He also had a recurring writer/acting gig with This Hour Has 22 Minutes as a field reporter, before heading to the U.S. to write for Comedy Central’s Important Things with Demetri Martin and Jon Benjamin Has a Van.
