Rainmaker Entertainment has turned to Circle of Confusion to get its animation properties onto the internet and other digital platforms.
The U.S. indie producer and management company will work with Vancouver-based Rainmaker to translate its slate of animated movies for online, mobile or gaming engagement, or to develop an original property for multimedia platforms.
“There is so much that Rainmaker can offer the entertainment community, regardless of the platform,” Catherine Winder, president and executive producer of the Canadian animation studio, said of the brand extension move in a statement.
Circle of Confusion’s David Alpert and Ken Freimann will represent Rainmaker, identifying new digital and emerging platform possibilities from the studio’s current slate of animated characters and storylines and catalogue.
Rainmaker’s current slate includes Escape From Planet Earth (pictured), to be distributed by The Weinstein Company, and Luna, which bowed at SIGGRAPH 2011.
