Sheila McCarthy and Elaine Overholt are to make guest appearances on Broadway Bootcamp, a 13-part reality show from Apartment 11 Productions for Bravo! about 21 Canadian amateurs preparing to perform a Broadway musical in front of a live audience.

McCarthy, star of Little Mosque on the Prairie and veteran of Stratford stage productions like Guys and Dolls and Cabaret, will appear in an episode to be taped in Toronto on Nov. 23.

And Overholt, a veteran voice coach who trained John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer for Hairspray, will appear in a separate episode to be shot on Nov. 27, also in Toronto.

The dance doc series was developed by Alberta Nokes, Carol Hay and director, dancer and performance coach Sarina Condello.

Broadway Bootcamp portrays Condello taking aspiring Canadian amateur dancers beyond their comfort zone to realize their stage dreams.

The series’ executive producer is Jonathan Finkelstein, while Leslie Fruman will produce.
