Tricon inks international deals for food, shelter titles

Toronto-based Tricon Films & Television has penned deals for some 250 hours of titles from its food and home-reno slate, including Decked Out (pictured), with broadcasters in the U.S., Asia and the Netherlands.

Docusoap Marriage Under Construction, which follows a married couple as they buy their first home, sold to DIY in the U.S., which picked up season four; while RTL Lounge in the Netherlands also picked up season four; and Li TV in South East Asia picked up seasons one, three and four.

In Italy, National Geographic picked up seasons five and six of Restaurant Makeover, while TVS  in Poland acquired season two and Vitaya in Belgium picked up seasons one through seven.

The backyard makeover series Decked Out was bought by Quebec’s French-language Canal Vie, while Living Channel in New Zealand acquired seasons one and two of the show. Meanwhile, Decked Out‘s companion series Deck Wars, a competition series, was also picked up by Living Channel.

The first season of cookery show Bitchin’ Kitchen was picked up by Belguim’s NJAM TV, while RTL Lounge picked up seasons one and two of the show, as well as a one-off holiday special.  

Finally, lifestyle home reno series Building Bryks was picked up by RTL Lounge and XYZ in Australia, while Telelatino in Canada acquired lifestyle docu-drama Building Family.
