Hollywood screenwriter Paul Haggis is to travel the world promoting film programs at the Canadian Film Centre.

Ontario native Haggis, as chair of the CFC’s film programs, will hold one master class at the Toronto-based advanced training centre annually, and serve as an ambassador for the CFC’s Cineplex Entertainment and Short Dramatic Film initiatives.

“Programs like these are vital in helping make sure that filmmakers will have all the right tools to make their mark on the world and ensure a vibrant future for Canada’s storytellers,” Haggis said in a statement Monday.
