BBC taps Soumya Sriraman as EVP, home ent and licensing

BBC Worldwide Americas has named former Palisades Tartan exec Soumya Sriraman (pictured) as EVP of its home entertainment and licensing division.

Sriraman will be handling the DVD and licensing business for BBC Worldwide’s operations in the US and Canada. According to the release, Sriraman will be charged with expanding BBC’s revenue stream through new product, maximizing distribution, creating new partnerships and developing new brand platforms.

Sriraman is a distribution and home entertainment veteran, having previously held executive positions at indie and arthouse film distributor Palisades Tartan, at which she was president and CEO, as well as Vivendi, Universal Music and Video Distribution’s filmed entertainment arm, Warner Home Video and Universal Home Entertainment.
