Vancouver-based reality TV producer MME Factual is getting into reality TV.
Blair Reekie’s factual production shingle has picked up the Canadian format rights to the Japanese competition series TV Champion from Japan’s TV Tokyo.
The elimination competition series sees contestants battling against one another to see who’s best at what they do, whether cooking fake food, or origami or blowing bubbles.
Adapting the Japanese format for the Canadian market, MME Factual is talking to Canadian conventional and specialty channels about interest in a local version of TV Champion.
The format rights deal for TV Champion with TV Tokyo was stick-handled by APA in Los Angeles.
MME Factual was launched by Reekie, Mark Miller, Michael Taylor and Drew Craig to create and produce non-scripted TV programming for worldwide markets.
