Force Four Entertainment has pacted with London-based distributor DRG International on a first-look deal for the Canadian indie producer’s factual slate.
The partners will also look to develop factual and scripted shows for the world market.
Force Four, run by president Rob Bromley, is best known for series like The Cupcake Girls (pictured) for Corus Entertainment, the feature documentary 65 Red Roses and Urban Suburban for HGTV Canada.
“We are very excited to be one of the select few production companies around the world, and the only Canadian company, with which DRG has chosen to have a first-look deal,” Bromley said in a statement.
Bromley brokered the first-look agreement with Diane Rankin, SVP of acquisitions at DRG.
As part of a deal signed in January 2010, DRG also backs early-stage development of broadcaster CBC’s formats, and distributes them internationally.
