Quebec business network Alliance numérique has announced the launch of the Montreal Digital (MTL DGTL) festival in the lead up to the Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS).
The inaugural fest, which takes place Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, will focus on the interactive digital content industry and will be divided into four events that each focus on different areas in the space. It is being presented by the Canada Media Fund.
Mobiz will present the latest developments in the mobile space along with best practices in the industry. Web-In will look at web innovation through micro-conferences, and the Consortium en innovation numérique du Québec (CINQ)/Innovation Symposium will bring together entrepreneurs and research specialists to foster development of technical, scientific, financial and commercial partnerships.
The three-day fest will cap off with its final event, the eighth annual Montreal International Game Summit, which focuses on networking opps and business partnerships in the video game industry.
“Montreal is a key platform at the heart of major innovations within the digital industry,” says Pierre Proulx, CEO of Alliance numérique in a statement. “Montreal Digital will help in the outreach of all market spheres, both locally and abroad, through its role as the centre of world excellence with respect to creation, production and distribution of interactive digital content.”
