BBC Kids in Canada has picked up 75-plus hours of programming from DHX Media.
The deal spans DHX’s library of animation and live action factual fare, including the animated series Olliver’s Adventures (39 x 30 mins), D’Myna Leagues (26 x 30 mins), What About Mimi? (39 x 22 mins) and Yakkity Yak (26 x 30 mins).
“Alongside interest in our new programming, we are seeing a considerable demand in the marketplace for package deals from our library; as highlighted by this sale to BBC Kids,” Craig McGillivray, DHX territory manager, said in a statement.
Also included in the deal is factual show Be the Creature (26 x 60, pictured) from Chris and Martin Kratt, which delves into the biology and behavior of a specific animal.
BBC Kids is owned by The Knowledge Network in Canada.
