Former Apple Canada account manager Alan Jones has been named VP of global sales at Vancouver-based app development hub Atimi Software.

“Alan is a skilled strategic sales specialist who will help expand our delivery of software and information technology solutions to the global marketplace,” said Atimi president Steven Gully in a statement.

Jones’ experience also includes time spent at Hewlett-Packard’s imaging and printing division, working on client relationships across Western Canada.

Atimi has developed a variety of apps, including the Macworld Daily Reader and ESPN ScoreCenter, as well as apps for the Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames.
