Familiar Grounds wins at L.A. Film Festival

Entertainment One and micro_scope’s Familiar Grounds (En terrains connus) has snagged the award for Best Narrative Feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival this past weekend.

Stephane Lafleur’s follow-up feature to Continental, A Film Without Guns sees a husband and wife’s family experiencing a series of coincidences and a life-changing road trip.

Familiar Grounds has screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, Jeonju Film Festival in Korea,  the Shanghai International Film Festival in China, and this summer it will travel to the Taipei Film Festival in Taiwan, Durban International Film Festival in South Africa and the Melbourne International Film Festival in Australia.

Producers include Luc Dery and Kim McCraw from micro_scope (Incendies, It’s Not Me I Swear!, Congorama, Familia) and stars Fanny Mallette, Francis La Haye, Sylvain Marcel, Michel Daigle, Suzanne Lemoine and Denis Houle.
