Cineflix Studios head Christina Wayne has hired Vlad Wolynetz away from BBC Worldwide Productions to oversee production at the Canadian indie producer’s scripted division.

Wolynetz joins Cineflix Studios as president of production from July after earlier working with Wayne at AMC.

In his new role at Cineflix Studios, Wolynetz will oversee production on scripted projects made for export to international broadcasters.

“Cineflix is an exceedingly well-run and vibrant company with tremendous projects and relationships,” Wolynetz said in a statement.

“That, combined with my admiration and affection for Christina Wayne, made this an irresistible opportunity,” he added.

Wolynetz was most recently senior vice president of scripted production at BBC Worldwide Productions.

Cineflix Studios is currently developing The Command, a cop drama, for TNT.

Wolynetz will report to Glen Salzman, CEO of Cineflix Media.
