Just as the Colin Farrell-starring Total Recall remake starts shooting this week at Pinewood Toronto Studios, the mega-studio is undergoing a changing of the guard.
Pinewood managing director Edith Myers has handed day-to-day control of the facility to Blake Steels, who becomes general manager.
Myers will remain on side with Pinewood Toronto Studios as a consultant.
“For the last two years, Edith has worked tirelessly to secure our current and future position as a world-class international destination for any and every kind of production, and especially for tent-pole projects that require our unique facility,” studio chairman Paul Bronfman said in a statement on Myers overseeing a turnaround in fortune for the Toronto portlands facility.
