TV viewers knew Milt Avruskin as the play-by-play broadcaster on Superstars of Wrestling and International Wrestling in the 1970s and 1980s.
But the Canadian TV business knew Avruskin, who died last Saturday at age 64 years, as a veteran distributor and a mainstay of international TV markets.
Avruskin was vice president of TV at Peter Simpson’s Northstar Entertainment, and most recently general manager of Rebel Media Ventures International in Toronto.
He will be succeeded at Rebel Media by son Aaron Avruskin, the executive in charge of sales and development until now.
A funeral service for Milt Avruskin is planned for Monday in Toronto.
