Prodigy Pictures and Shaw Media are kicking off production on original series Lost Girl this week.

The supernatural drama (13 x 60) will be filmed at a Toronto soundstage as well as on location across the city until Sept. 22.

Executive producers are Jay Firestone, Plato Fountidakis, and Paul Rapovski, with co-executive producers are Michelle Lovretta, Jeremy Boxen and Brad Markowitz. Also on board is Vanessa Piazza is associate producer and Wanda Chaffey as producer.

Lost Girl was the top show on the channel for adults 25-54, also topping scripted series across all specialty channels.

Season two of Lost Girl is slated for its premiere on Showcase this fall.
