Brett Burlock, vice president of development for CTV, has left the broadcaster as it continues to pursue a cross-platform programming strategy.
A CTV spokesman said Burlock departed May 6 amid a continuing reorganization of the broadcaster’s program development division under Corrie Coe, senior vice president of independent production.
The reorganization will see CTV do more than align its indie programming commissioning across the conventional and specialty channel platforms.
The broadcaster is now looking through new hires to reorganize development across genres, rather than channels.
The strategy is to ensure a BCE-era CTV, when it receives pitches for factual, scripted or reality TV series from indie producers, can better decide how these shows can work across a range of platforms.
