Entertainment One, along with Nomadic Pictures, will start rolling the cameras in Alberta for AMC original series Hell of Wheels on May 16, as announced last December.

The contemporary Western is developed by Endemol USA, with Joe and Tony Gayton (Faster, Uncommon Valor, Salton Sea, Bulletproof) credited with creating, writing and executive producing.

Endemol’s SVP of scripted programming John Shiban and series pilot director David Von Ancken are also executive producers, with eOne Television’s CEO John Morayniss and SVP creative affairs Michael Rosenberg overseeing production with producers Mike Frislev and Chad Oakes at Nomadic Pictures.

Endemol holds all television distribution rights across Europe with eOne selling Hell on Wheels in all remaining territories. eOne will also handle worldwide rights for DVD/Blu-ray, VOD and digital distribution.

The series is slated to premiere in Q4 of this year.
