Despite the hullabaloo surrounding The Kennedys in the US, the title continues to deliver strong numbers wherever it airs.

The Kennedys premiered on History Television Sunday to 889,000 viewers (2+, BBM) and 335,000 in the adult 25-54 demo. In all, 2.3 million viewers tuned in to some or all of the show, with numbers peaking to 1.1 million viewers at 9:55 p.m.

The series premiere is the second-highest rated on History behind Ice Road Truckers: Deadliest Roads, which hit just over 1 million viewers in mid-January.

The Muse Entertainment series drew a record 1.9 million viewers for ReelzChannel for its kick-off in the US.
