Wide-Eyed Entertainment and the CBC have collaborated on a format, Redemption Inc., to air on the network’s 2011/12 line-up.

The flagship series will be hosted by Canadian entrepreneur and Dragons’ Den star, Kevin O’Leary (pictured). This will mark the first airing of WEE’s original format series.

In a statement, Jasper James, CEO, Wide-Eyed Entertainment said, “This represents the beginning of a relationship with CBC. Canada has always been a massively rewarding territory for Wide-Eyed by getting behind all of our most ambitious projects, so this is an all-round big deal for us.”

The deal follows the recent announcement of WEE’s The Egyptian Job, a co-production with Nat Geo Channels International and Nat Geo Channels. The 90-minute feature-length factual comedy looks at the most daring heist of the ancient world.
