The Canada Media Fund wants to send eight digital media professionals to next month’s Merging Media Transmedia Seminar and Lab in Vancouver.
It’s sponsoring eight Transmedia Lab Scholarships up to $800 each, covering the registration fees and potential accommodation support for attendees from outside B.C. Priority is being given to those involved in selecting projects for funding, though all applicants will be considered.
“We hope to provide a group of media professionals from mixed disciplines with a unique opportunity to upgrade their convergent skills and understanding collectively, so that they can go on to become key practitioners and budding thought leaders in their various fields,” said Christine Lim-Labossière, CEO of Merging Media Productions in a statement.
The two-day Merging Media Seminar takes place April 28 and 29. For more information, check out www.mergingmedia.ca/agenda.
