Canamedia to bring 3D factual to MIPTV

Canamedia’s new 3D production division’s output will be on display at MIPTV, with a slate of 3D factual titles.

The Distribution Access-owned company opened up a 3D division in October of last year, headed up by TV production veteran Daniel O’Or.

Canamedia’s new 3D lifestyle and factual programming for MIPTV includes the travel series The World’s Greatest Carnivals (13 x 30 minutes and 13 x 60 minutes – 2D and 3D), which includes Quebec’s Winter Carnival and New Orleans’ Mardi Gras (pictured) and a profile on Quebec City’s uniquely designed Ice Hotels (1 x 60 minutes – 2D and 3D), marking the first time the Ice Hotel is captured through the 3D lens.

Also in the catalog is Stratton in Time (13 x 30 minutes and 13 x 60 minutes – 2D and 3D) is a series with well-known Maestro Stratton exploring the life and compositions of Brahms, Beethoven, Vivaldi and many more master composers.

Lastly, The World’s Greatest Cathedrals (13 x 30 minutes – 2D and 3D) takes viewers through the magnificent structures throughout the globe.
