The Vancouver Film School has signed with a Hollywood talent agency to get its people talking to their people via a first-look deal.

The entertainment training school has struck a strategic alliance with Innovative Artists that aims to help launch the careers of graduating actors, film producers and writers internationally.

As part of the deal, VFS will flag its most promising students to Innovative Artists, which can then choose whether to represent them.

“This could potentially result in well-connected talent agents actively promoting the careers of VFS graduates.” the Vancouver school said Tuesday in a statement.

Innovative Artists has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City.
