OUTtv offers $10,000 in funding for four films

OUTtv wants your true stories. The GLBT media portal has launched the second phase of its Hot Pink Shorts initiative, and will be picking four pitches to each receive $2,500 in funding.

The Hot Pink Shorts: The Making Of Contest asks filmmakers/storytellers to visit the site and upload their true-to-life tales.

“Your true story can be about anything. Just make sure it is original and would make a fantastic short film. If we like it, we’ll help you make it into a movie,” said Nicky Forsman, OUTtv’s head of development.

The winners will be mentored by industry professionals who will guide them through the filmmaking process. The process and the resulting films will be featured on an episode of Hot Pink Shorts airing on OUTtv in the Fall.
