Universal Studios Home Entertainment kicks off production of the new Beethoven holiday movie in the province next month, Manitoba Film & Music reveals.

The latest installation starring the friendly St. Bernard is slated to begin production with Original Pictures on February 14 in Stonewall, Manitoba for two weeks, followed by another three weeks of shooting in Winnipeg.

Director John Putch (Cougar Town, Ugly Better) is on board, as well as producer Jeff Freilich (Burn Notice, Wrong Turn 2: Dead End). Casting is still to be determined.
