The first fruits of convergence: Shaw Communications has unveiled a iPad app filled with Global Television primetime fare.
Shaw’s Global App for iPad, now available online at the Apple Store, features popular U.S. series like House, The Good Wife, NCIS: LA, The Office, Rookie Blue and Survivor.
The iPad app, sponsored by razor blade maker Shick, features full-length episodes and clips, progress bars to indicate run time, and behind-the-scenes footage and web-exclusive content.
The iPad app rollout follows Shaw acquiring Canwest Global Communications Corp.’s TV assets and rebranding them as Shaw Media to acquire video content to push down its pipes.
