Industry association On Screen Manitoba is getting a new executive director, as Nicole Matiation joins the fold.

Matiation comes to OSM with a long industry career in the cultural sector, having founded Winnipeg’s Freeze Frame Media Arts Centre for Young People, as well as serving as cultural industries consultant for Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism, and project manager for Manitoba Culture Days.

She steps into her new position on January 17, 2011. The role will see her bolstering the org’s efforts in supporting development of the screen-based media industry in the province.

Matiation will replace outgoing exec director Tara Walker, who will continue working with OSM until February 4.
