The CFC has announced the names of the three participants who will take part in the CFC Writers Workshop at the Whistler Film Fest on Saturday, December 4. They are Katherine Collins (The Berliner), Garfield Lindsay Miller (Bitter Pills) and Blake Corbett (Mighty Lion).

Acclaimed filmmaker Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In The Name of the Father, Get Rich or Die Tryin’) will lead the program.

The Workshop is open to BC-based screenwriters with dramatic features in development.

“They are all strong scripts and have attracted significant investment already, so we are really hoping this workshop will help them further strengthen their scripts as they move towards securing production financing,” said Kathryn Emslie, director of film and TV programs, CFC.

The CFC Writers Workshop is presented by the Astral Media Harold Greenberg Fund, and supported by
BC Film.
