DHX preschool series make way in Asia

With next month’s Asia Television Forum in the mainframe, Toronto-based DHX Media has scored a series of broadcast and home entertainment deals for its preschool slate in Asia.

In Malaysia & Brunei, the Astro platform has picked up the exclusive rights to all 52 x 22-minute episodes of illustrative preschool series Franny’s Feet (pictured), as well as all 65 x 22-minute episodes of reading-based preschool show Super WHY!, which has also been picked up by InnoForm Media for home video in the territory and by Media Link for home video in Thailand.

A VOD deal with Korea’s JCG has been set for Franny’s Feet and 65 episodes of Super WHY!. Tarra Group Indonesia has snapped up the rights for home video for 52 eps of Franny’s Feet and additional eps of Cbeebies show Grandpa in My Pocket.
